I genuinely cannot believe I am sending this. I have written this opener about six times, deleted it, made a cup of tea, stared out the window, and written it again. But here it is. The first ever Wickers Word. And you are reading it, which means everything.
So. Let me tell you what is actually going on.
The book is real and it has a name
I am writing Dustling — book one in the Age of Serpent. It is a New Adult dystopian romantasy set in a fractured world called Elrion, where magic is weaponised by the powerful and survival is a daily negotiation for everyone else. At the centre of it all is Saelynn. Twenty years old, carrying a traitor's name and a grief she has never fully put down — until fate forces her powerless hand.
The slow-burn romance will ruin you. I say that with full confidence and zero apology.

I started writing this during one of the hardest seasons of my life. Grief, illness, loss — the kind that does not ask permission. Dustling came out of that. It is, at its core, a story about surviving things that were supposed to break you.
I am looking for beta readers
We are not quite there yet — the first draft is still in progress, with a deadline of August 30th — but I am building my reader circle now. If you love slow-burn enemies-to-lovers, brutal training academy vibes, oppressive magic systems, and a heroine who is quiet until she is not, I want you in my corner.

Swedish Blue
To celebrate the upcoming milestones in this process, I am running my first giveaways later this month. The winner(s) will recieve a handmade pendant made out of ‘Bergslagssten’ from my family’s farm. It’s been on my dad’s side of the family for generations, since the 1500’s - so it’s truly an historical piece of swedish culture.
